NABORE specializes in the development and production of recycled materials from industrial waste materials and builds on over 90 years of tradition in material and process development in the area of leather-based materials.

Innovation
RELEA is being further developed by NABORE GmbH as an industrially usable recycling material. The aim is to systematically transfer residual leather into resilient material cycles and to make them usable as a functional raw material base for various industries.

RELEA is developed and produced in Germany, at 73441 Bopfingen. Here, material recipes are developed, processes are tested and materials are manufactured industrially.
The central location in Europe enables short distances, close coordination with partners and rapid implementation along the entire development and production chain.
The location stands for reproducible quality, process-reliable manufacturing and compliance with applicable industrial and regulatory standards.

Winner of the 2026 German Sustainability Award
NABORE was awarded the German Sustainability Prize in 2026 in the raw materials industry category.
The jury recognized the company's pioneering role in the development of recyclable materials from leather scraps and the measurable contribution to the sustainable transformation of a waste-intensive industry.
Within the umbrella brand NABORE, RELEA stands for the recycling of leather scraps into reproducible, industrially scalable material qualities that significantly reduce waste, emissions and use of resources.

RELEA is produced on an industrial scale. NABORE's plants and processes are designed to continuously process large quantities of genuine leather residues and convert them into reproducible material qualities.
Several tons of residual material can be recycled per day and up to 15,000 m² of new material can be produced. Production is carried out in multiple shifts and ensures consistent quality, supply security and scalability.
These capacities make it possible to offer industrial customers and partners real solutions for recycling waste materials in industrial quantities. RELEA is not a pilot material, but a series-ready material system that can be integrated into existing production and procurement processes.
